The M.I.L.E. – Measuring Impact of Long and Medium-Term Engagement project is a key initiative to assess and enhance the impact of Long and Medium-Term Volunteering (LMTV) programs. It focuses on critical aspects like decolonization, inclusive narratives, and tools to measure LMTV impact, ensuring these programs contribute meaningfully to personal growth, community empowerment, and social change.

  • The main aim of the project is to:

Assess and strengthen the impact of long and medium term volunteering (LMTV)

programmes promoting inclusive dialogue, exchange and collaboration.

  • Participants:

100 participants, including IVS organisations, policymakers, NGOs, and young

activists.

  • Outcome
  1. Participants gain practical skills to conduct impact research in their LMTV programmes.
  2. A digital toolkit with impact measurement guidelines and qualitative techniques is created.
  3. Stronger awareness of decolonial approaches in international volunteering.
