The Together Stronger team, which has been active in Athens over the last two months, is bringing its actions into a end with a Living Library that will be set up in the innovative
Welcommon Hostel, on August 25, 6-9 pm
Together Stronger is a project by SCI Hellas and the Greek Forum of Refugees (GFR) bringing together volunteers from various European countries with refugee communities in Athens through various events, excursions and creative activities for children (ceramics, recycling, painting, etc.). ), sports activities and others depending on the mood and wishes of the participants. The aim is to promote the idea of volunteering, familiarization with different cultures and social inclusion.

The Living Library is an innovative tool, recognized by the Council of Europe, a kind of mobile library that encourages dialogue and dialogue without books, but with volunteers exposed to "reading" this Saturday in particular, the dialogue with the public on discrimination issues in Greece today and on volunteering.

SCI Hellas and GFR aim for a world of peace, social justice and sustainable development where all people live in mutual respect and without resorting to any form of violence to resolve their conflicts. WELCOMMON Hostel was recently created by KOINSEP ANEMOS ANANEOSIS and is a different hostel that promotes sustainable tourism models. It has different rooms that cater to people with different needs and financial possibilities, but also venues for meetings, events and workshops. Its renovation was based on a logic of high functionality and youthful aesthetics, while equipment was reused furniture and objects after being upgraded and acquired vivid colors and youthful style. WELCOMMON Hostel aspires to be also a center of arts, dialogue, education, innovation, social and professional integration, with the help of many volunteers and through collaborations with social and cultural institutions, educational institutions and organizations from around the world.
